Poetry is to blame. I haven’t posted for a while. I have been working on my second collection of poetry. Like most projects, it’s been tough going. I have a few more poems to write and then I will start the process of trying to find a publisher. The poems in this collection explore my feelings of time, memory, commemoration, and nostalgia. Yeah, I know nostalgia. It is supposed to be left in the sock drawer. But I am a sixty-one-year-old poet who started late in life to write, so I pull nostalgia out from time to time like a pair of comfy socks. Or like my flaky skin on my right ear, it’s a part of me. I hope these poems come to life and I will keep you posted on the progress and their journey toward publication. Thanks again for being lovers of poetry. Poetry sustains.
